| Description: | One of a series of remastered and sonically enhanced editions of the Vangelis albums recorded for the RCA and Arista labels. All of which come in deluxe digi-pack designs, with masters personally supervised by Vangelis in 2013. The magnificent â??Heaven And Hellâ?? was the first album by Vangelis to be released by RCA Records in 1975 and was also the first album to be recorded at Nemo, his personal studio in London. This epic work in two parts featured the English Chamber Choir (conducted by Guy Protheroe) and Vangelisâ?? first collaboration with Jon Anderson of Yes on â??So Long Ago, So Clearâ??. This Esoteric Recordings release (undertaken with the full approval and supervision of Vangelis himself) features a booklet that restores the original album artwork. - Recorded at Nemo Studios, London Sept. 75

"HEAVEN AND HELL" on CD is a powerful, atmospheric work by Vangelis that blends symphonic grandeur with electronic experimentation. Built around sweeping synthesizer landscapes, choral arrangements and dramatic dynamic shifts, this album explores the contrast between light and darkness, serenity and turmoil - a conceptual journey through transcendence and inner struggle. Long, evolving pieces unfold like miniature soundtracks, with orchestral textures, celestial choirs and meditative passages that gradually build to overwhelming climaxes. The production is rich and detailed, making this CD a compelling listen both on headphones and a hi-fi system. Fans of cinematic, progressive electronic music will appreciate the timeless sound design and emotional depth this recording offers, whether for focused listening or as an immersive background to reading and reflection. Rca Local, as the label behind this edition, stands for solid manufacturing quality and reliable audio standards. Known for publishing and distributing a wide spectrum of popular and classical music, the company emphasizes durable pressings, clear sound and careful packaging that highlights the artistic identity of each release. With their catalog of both international and locally focused productions, Rca Local has earned a reputation for keeping important works continuously available to collectors and new listeners.
