Dries Tack' solo album Adjacent Spaces unites six compositions in which the clarinet deliberately does not appear as an artfully played melodic instrument in the service of a beautiful orchestral sound. Instead, it is moved as far away as possible from it's familiar tonal appearance. The most diverse playing techniques are used, but not the conventional ones.
