The band Suede were one of the key pioneers of the Britpop movement in the early 1990s, fusing flamboyant guitar rock with introspective, often provocative lyrics and a strong visual identity. With their debut they quickly rose from the UK indie scene to mainstream recognition, earning critical acclaim and a passionate fan base. Suedes first album is one of the highlights of the 1990's. A major classic and one that helped kick start the so called 'Brit-Pop' era. Brit-Pop era, a time when many bands when back to their British Roots.
