This version of Searching For Contact comes as a 1xCD. - TUXEDOMOON MEMBER, 1987 ALBUMSteven Brown is one of the creative mainsprings behind the cult left-field band Tuxedo moon. As a solo artist he has recorded some ten solo albums including Music for Solo Piano (1983) Searching for Contact (1987) Half Out (1991) & Nine Rain (1996). in 2002 LTM released a Best of collection titled Decade. Searching for Contact is his third solo album recorded in 1987 for PIAS Records with collaborator Nikolas Klau & inspired by the works of Genet & Burroughs. The original.Tracks 1 to 11 inclusive originally released as the album [r=877600] on PIAS Records (BIAS 55) in summer 1987. Recorded in Bruxelles at Anything But Studio and Studio Pyramide.
Tracks 12 to 15 inclusive originally released as the 12" single [r=105827] on Sub Rosa Records (SUB 12002-4) in autumn 1986. Recorded at Anything But Studio, Bruxelles, March-April 1986. With thanks to Sub Rosa.
Track 16 originally appeared as a bonus track on the CD issue of the [r=296027] soundtrack. Recorded and performed at Studio Echo des Montagnes. With thanks to Materiali Sonore.
Track 17 originally appeared on the Benjamin Lew CD [r=506327] (MTM 17) on Crammed Discs in 1988.
Track 18 is the edit of [r=423746] released as a 7" single on PIAS Records (BIAS 66) on Crammed Discs in summer 1987. Credits as Searching For Contact. The B-side was the album version of In Praise Of Money.
