Description: Limitierte Sonderauflage von 2000 nummerierten LPs auf Black & White Marbled Vinyl Audiophiles 180g Vinyl Einziges Solo-"Unplugged"-Album von Philip Glass Inkl. der "Metamorphosis" Stücke, die auf Franz Kafkas Kurzgeschichte "Die Verwandlung" basieren Mit "Solo Piano" präsentiert sich Glass "unplugged" - keine elektronischen Keyboards oder Synthesizer und auch keine Overdubs - nur Solo-Piano. -

"Solo Piano" on CD presents Philip Glass at his most intimate and direct: alone at the keyboard, shaping his characteristic repetitive motifs into emotionally resonant, lyrical miniatures. The album gathers a selection of pieces that demonstrate how Glass's minimalist language can be both meditative and dramatically expressive, with slowly evolving harmonic patterns that invite deep, focused listening. Each track unfolds with a sense of quiet architecture, revealing subtle shifts in rhythm and color that reward repeated plays. This recording is ideal for listeners who appreciate contemporary classical music, piano-focused soundscapes, or a calm yet intellectually stimulating atmosphere, whether for concentrated work, late-night listening, or reflective moments. The clear and detailed production lets the natural warmth and dynamic range of the piano shine, keeping the listening experience pure and uncluttered.

Philip Glass is one of the most influential composers of contemporary classical music, widely associated with the development of musical minimalism. Over several decades he has written operas, symphonies, concertos, chamber works and numerous film scores, and his instantly recognizable style has had a lasting impact far beyond the classical world. His music has been performed in major concert halls around the globe and has reached a broad audience through collaborations, stage works and soundtracks. With "Solo Piano" he shows another side of his art: reduced to a single instrument, yet rich in atmosphere and personality.

The CD is released by Sony Classical, one of the world's leading classical music labels. As part of the Sony Music family, Sony Classical has a long tradition of presenting renowned orchestras, conductors, soloists and composers, and is known for high production standards and carefully curated catalogues. Releases on Sony Classical typically stand for excellent recording quality, strong artistic profiles and long-term catalog value. With "Solo Piano", the label continues its commitment to documenting important voices in contemporary and classical music and making them accessible to a wide audience.
