Close-Up Vol. 1, Love Songs is a studio album release by New York–based singer/songwriter and musician Suzanne Vega. The album consists of re-recordings of songs from Vega's back catalogue with stripped-down arrangements that highlight her lyrics and melodies.

Suzanne's voice sounds as good or better than on the originals and her new arrangements while not dramatically different are heartfelt.

Her arrangements are straightforward, but tricky. Suzanne still performs. Quite opposite ends of thespectrum, but Suzanne is a guitarist, after all. 5 STARS
