Mike Jones, one of our most accomplished mainstream jazz pianists, is certainly a wizard of sorts. On The Show Before the Show, Jones is joined by a bassist who, in another capacity, also knows how to dazzle with regularity: Penn Jillette, the internationally acclaimed magician who, for over four decades, has been best known as the verbal half of the renowned magic duo Penn & Teller. This limited edition 180 gram vinyl release has an equally entertaining cover from the Simpsons animator David Silverman and notes by the quiet but elegant Mr. Teller.Numbers 1 through 250 are pressed on 140 gram red vinyl and were exclusively available at the Penn & Teller Theater in Las Vegas. Numbers 251 through 1000 are pressed on 180 gram black vinyl.
