"For some time, Frank Lowe and I had speculated regarding the existence of unreleased portions of the Black Beings concert recording. In January of 2008, I found this material, and thanks to Fred Cohen at Jazz Records Center, we now have included it on this re-issue. There is a total of 15-plus previously unreleased minutes of "In Trane's Name" and "Thulani"." (from Michael D. Anderson's liner notes)
