"Ballad Of Etiquette" on CD presents Richard Jobson's distinctive blend of spoken-word, poetry and atmospheric music in a focused, intimate format. The album captures his reflective and literate style, weaving stories of memory, identity and modern life into a sequence of pieces that feel both personal and cinematic. Carefully arranged soundscapes, subtle melodic elements and Jobson's unmistakable voice create a mood that is at once contemplative and intense, making this disc especially appealing to listeners who appreciate narrative depth and artistic ambition in music. Thanks to the CD format, the production's nuances and dynamics come through with clarity, inviting repeated, attentive listening. A short artist bio: Richard Jobson first came to prominence as the charismatic frontman and lyricist of the influential post-punk band The Skids, who achieved UK chart success in the late 1970s and early 1980s with tracks such as "Into the Valley" and "Working for the Yankee Dollar". Beyond his band work, he built a reputation as a writer, poet, broadcaster and filmmaker, known for his articulate, thoughtful and often experimental approach to storytelling. His solo and collaborative recordings highlight his talent for combining spoken word with evocative sound design, placing him firmly in the tradition of artists who blur the lines between music, literature and cinema. The CD is released by LTM, an independent label renowned for its carefully curated catalogue of reissues, archival recordings and distinctive new projects.
