This is an effort of the singerof a legendary band, called Tool, to create sounds that are both melodic and impressive. That band, Tool, has invented a whole genre of music that some call modern grunge or modern metal. The result of this effort misses sharp teeth and has much good melody to offer. The effort, to make a difference, a new sound is only good in some ways, i think. All songs have a length to fit the radio, though. All men and women involved are in good shape on this album too. The hints to the modern approach, with rap etc, are not very convincing.
