Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums plus one bonus track. The rarely heard 1957 album Soft Sands, appearing here on CD for the first time ever. This album presents Peterson playing and singing with orchestra conducted by Buddy Bregman. As a bonus, the complete trio album Plays My Fair Lady, and a live performance of John Lewis' 'The Golden Striker' that has also never previously appeared on CD.

Compilation of LPs released by Verve Ttracks 1 to 12 were recorded with an orchestra, vocal group and strings on March 28 & July 31, 1957, issued on the LP Soft Sands. Tracks 13 to 19 were recorded on November 20 & 21, 1958 and issued on the LP My Fair Lady. Track 20 was reorded live at the Playboy Jazz Festival on August 8, 1959.
