Vagner C. - 01/Dec/2019 This album is far from the fans preference. It is not a 'metal' album by Paradise Lost. But is an excellent album with surprisingly great songs.

Alexander S. - 28/Sep/2018 Album "One Second" marked yet another new stage in the development of the group. PL's music was enriched by a solid lot of keyboards and electronics, a couple of songs (falling out of the general context of "Soul Courageous" and "Another Day") appeared mainstream trends. In general, there is a relief of sound and a transition to the area of gothic rock. These transformations were painless, and gloomy Englishmen successfully continue to create their "dark" business. Excellent material "One Second", including megahit "Say Just Words", became the strongest work of PL post-Doom Metal period.

Eduardo F. - 23/Feb/2018 Not as divise or controversial as its successor, but One Second is a bit of a love it or hate it album, straying away from the signature doom/gothic of previous Paradise Lost efforts.

Igor V. - 30/May/2017 It is a pity that you can not put 100 stars. It's an Icon of doom gothic metal. When I heard this album for the first time (my God, twenty years ago!) I was stunned and crushed! Beautiful melodies, a combination of rhythm, electronics and heavy metal riffs, all this created an atmosphere of sadness and despair. Twenty years later, I listen with pleasure to this album and remember my youth, painted in the dark colors of the collapse of the USSR.
