JUNKYARD DRIVE

Junkyard Drive is a Danish rock band that was formed in 2014. The band consists of lead vocalist Kris, guitarist Tim, bassist Benjamin, and drummer Claus. Junkyard Drive’s music is influenced by classic rock and roll, with hints of blues and punk. From their early days, Junkyard Drive has been committed to putting on energetic and memorable live performances. They are known for their high-octane shows, where they play original tracks alongside covers by bands such as AC/DC, Guns N’ Roses, and Led Zeppelin. This dedication to live performance has earned Junkyard Drive a strong following in Denmark and across Europe. Junkyard Drive’s first album, Sin & Tonic, was released in 2017, and quickly gained critical acclaim. The album features 11 original tracks, including the popular singles “Geordie” and “Sweet Little Dreamer”. Sin & Tonic showcases the band’s ability to write catchy hooks and memorable guitar riffs, while also demonstrating their more introspective side on tracks like “Home” and “Where Are You Now?” In 2019, Junkyard Drive released Black Coffee, their second full-length album. Black Coffee builds on the success of Sin & Tonic, with a more polished sound and even catchier hooks. The album features highlights such as “Mama”, “Sucker for Your Love”, and “Backseat Baby”, which fuse classic rock and roll with contemporary production techniques. Junkyard Drive’s music often explores the ups and downs of love, life, and rock and roll. Their lyrics are honest and relatable, touching on themes of heartbreak, self-discovery, and the pursuit of wild nights and good times. Kris’s vocals are a standout feature of the band’s sound, with a range that can go from soulful crooning to frenzied screams in the span of a single song. Overall, Junkyard Drive is a Danish rock band that packs a powerful punch. With their commitment to live performance, catchy hooks, and strong songwriting, Junkyard Drive has established themselves as one of Denmark’s most exciting rock bands. The band’s future looks bright, and with a growing fanbase across Europe, it’s clear that Junkyard Drive is one band that is here to stay.
