Jimmy Eat World hit the road in May on a world tour in support of DAMAGE and will tour throughout the summer."Damage" is a studio album by the American rock band Jimmy Eat World, released on CD by the renowned label RCA International (Rca Int.). Often described by the band as an "adult breakup record", "Damage" focuses on emotional maturity, the complexity of relationships and the quiet, reflective side of alternative rock. The songs are built around melodic guitars, clear, heartfelt vocals and concise songwriting that balances introspective lyrics with memorable hooks. As a CD edition, this release offers excellent sound quality for listeners who appreciate the warmth and dynamics of physical media, and it comes in a classic jewel case that fits seamlessly into any rock collection.
Lyrically, "Damage" moves between vulnerability and resilience: the tracks explore distance in long-term relationships, quiet conflicts, and the subtle fractures that can change a life. Musically, the album leans toward a more restrained, organic sound compared to some of the band's earlier, more anthemic records. Mid-tempo songs, atmospheric arrangements and finely worked harmonies make this CD ideal for focused listening--whether on a home hi-fi system or on the go. "Damage" is particularly suitable for fans of thoughtful alternative rock and emo-influenced guitar music who value strong songwriting over pure spectacle.
Jimmy Eat World, formed in Arizona in the early 1990s, achieved international success with their breakthrough album "Bleed American" and its hit single "The Middle", which became a staple of rock radio and helped define the early-2000s emo and alternative rock sound. Over the years, the band has built a loyal global fan base with albums that balance emotional depth, catchy melodies and honest, observational lyrics. They are regarded as one of the key bands bridging underground emo roots with mainstream rock audiences, consistently releasing well-crafted records and remaining a strong live presence.
The CD is released under Rca Int., a division associated with RCA's long tradition as a major player in the international music industry. RCA has been involved in the careers of numerous influential artists across rock, pop and many other genres and is known for professional production standards, strong international distribution and reliable physical releases. With "Damage", Rca Int. underlines its commitment to mature, high-quality rock music, making this CD a solid choice for both long-time Jimmy Eat World fans and listeners discovering the band for the first time. |
