| Description: | 'Life at a million miles' will be the third album released by victorian 4 piece, Jetty Road. Their previous albums, 'full circle' released in 2005 and 'dirt roads city lights' released in 2007 saw the band garner the attention of the country music industry, both locally and internationally. In the past year Jetty Road were finalists in the 2008 country music awards of Australia for best group or duo, won the 2008 and 2009 tiara award for best group, won the 2008 victorian album of the year at the victorian and national country music awards, won the 2009 people's choice award for best group and managed to fit in touring throughout America, Canada, France and the United Kingdom. Identical twin sisters, lee and paula bowman, julian sammut and simon ross have been creating bright and energetic music under the name Jetty Road for 5 years. The band's distinctive and fresh sound has helped their latest single 'good times' reach #2 on the country tracks top 30 and #3 on the cmc top 50. In june this year, the band will be heading to Canada to perform alongside kenny chesney, emerson drive and jo dee messina at mountainfest - the merritt mountain music festival (north America's premiere country music festival). Whilst in Canada they will also perform at big valley jamboree in alberta, alongside tim McGraw, gary allan, glen campbell, billy currington and tracy lawrence. |
