Hawkwind, pioneers of British space rock since the early 1970s, are renowned for their hypnotic riffs, science-fiction themes and psychedelic stage shows. Over the decades they have released a long series of influential albums and are widely known for cult classics like "Silver Machine" and their early-to-mid 70s output, which helped define the sound of heavy, cosmic rock. Their fusion of driving rhythms, electronics and cosmic imagery has inspired generations of bands across rock, metal and alternative music, making Hawkwind one of the most enduring names in underground and progressive rock culture.
This expanded 2CD edition is curated and released by Cherry Red Records, a UK label highly respected for its comprehensive reissues and archival editions. Cherry Red has built a strong reputation for presenting classic and cult albums with great care, often adding rare bonus material, extended liner notes and improved audio quality. With "Sonic Attack 2CD Expanded Edition", Cherry Red once again underlines its commitment to preserving important rock and alternative catalogues and making them available to a new audience in thoughtfully compiled, collector-friendly editions.
