Two CDs. 2018 release from the pop trio. String Theory features the band performing with a 46-piece Orchestra. The album brings together an exciting collaboration of song craftsmanship and symphonic majesty, framing the established trio's music through a special collaboration with Academy award winning arranger David Campbell. Hanson's most ambitious musical project to date features songs spanning the band's career, including some of their best-known material ("MmmBop," "Where's The Love," "This Time Around" and more) alongside brand new or never-released-to-the-public songs ("Reaching For The Sky," "Battle Cry," "Breaktown," "No Rest For The Weary" and more) which tell a story of aspiration, despair, fortitude and ultimately a return to optimism. String Theory is the next frontier for Hanson, telling a story of aspiration and fortitude against the odds. The music resonates with authenticity, coming from a group whose signature is never to chase trends, but instead to stay focused on their melodic craftsmanship, establishing themselves as one of the few artists of their generation able to continually reinvent and reimagine their music, which has helped them to maintain an active global fanbase over 25 years after their founding.
"String Theory" is an ambitious and captivating album by the American pop-rock band Hanson, released in CD format by 3CG Records. This unique project reimagines Hanson's greatest hits and fan favorites with lush orchestral arrangements, recorded alongside a full symphony orchestra. The album takes listeners on a musical journey through the band's career, blending their signature harmonies with sweeping strings to create an immersive listening experience. Highlights include new renditions of classics like "MMMBop," "Where's the Love," and "This Time Around." 3CG Records, founded by Hanson themselves, is known for its dedication to artistic independence and high-quality music production. Since its inception in 2003, it has supported not only Hanson's releases but also other creative projects within the independent music scene. Hanson burst onto the international stage in 1997 with their infectious hit single "MMMBop," earning them three Grammy nominations and worldwide acclaim at a young age. Over more than two decades, brothers Isaac, Taylor, and Zac Hanson have continued to evolve musically while maintaining a loyal global fanbase. Their ability to blend pop sensibilities with rock influences has resulted in multiple chart-topping albums and sold-out tours around the world.
