Das Album wurde in der britischen Northern Soul- und der britischen Mod-Szene im selben Zeitraum sehr beliebt. Einige der Songs wurden von sogenannten "British R & B" - und "Beat Groups" "The Rolling Stones" und "The Who" gedeckt. Obwohl es nicht als Single veröffentlicht wurde, wurde "Wherever I Lay My Hat (That's My Home)" ein sehr beliebter Track und 20 Jahre später, 1983, war es für Paul Young ein Nummer-1-Hit, der sich stilistisch durch die Verwendung eines fretless-Basses von Pino Palladino auszeichnete.
