With haunting vocals, intricate guitar work, and thought-provoking lyrics, "The Spectre Within" remains a cornerstone for fans of classic progressive metal. The collaboration between Sony Music and Metal Blade ensures high-quality production and distribution; both labels are renowned for their commitment to bringing innovative music to audiences worldwide. Fates Warning formed in Connecticut in 1982 and quickly became one of the most influential bands in progressive metal history. Although Fates Warning was beginning to create their own sound as a metal band, they were still not a progressive band at this point. The bombastic pounding, dueling guitars, and falsetto singing defined this genre perfectly.

Interessantes Cover. Fates Warning kann ich nur empfehlen, auch die neueren Alben, z.B. parallels von 2017

Even though it is a immature release considering the following evolution of this great progressive metal band it still has really nice moments. Besides, John Arch is one of the best power - progressive metal singers, so it is worth listening.
