"Beat The Bastards" is a hard-hitting studio album by the legendary Scottish punk band The Exploited, presented here as an audio CD. Musically, it delivers a furious blend of hardcore punk and thrash-infused aggression: fast tempos, pounding drums, razor-sharp riffs and snarling vocals that rail against authority, social decay and everyday frustrations. The songs are compact, uncompromising and designed to hit with full force, capturing the band's trademark mix of raw energy and confrontational attitude. Lyrically, "Beat The Bastards" stays true to The Exploited's legacy, channeling anger and disillusionment into anthems that invite shouting along and moshing, making this CD ideal for fans who want their punk loud, heavy and unfiltered.
The Exploited are one of the most influential and enduring names in UK punk, known for their relentless touring, unmistakable visual style and a catalogue that helped shape hardcore and street punk worldwide. Emerging from the early 1980s punk explosion, they quickly gained a reputation for extreme intensity on stage and on record, with albums that became staples in the collections of punk and crossover fans. Their impact can be felt in later generations of punk, metal and hardcore bands who cite them as an inspiration for their uncompromising stance and high-octane sound.
This CD edition offers solid sound quality and a focused tracklist that showcases the band in a particularly aggressive and tight phase of their career. The production emphasizes punch and clarity without sacrificing grit, so the guitars and drums remain raw but powerful, while the vocals cut through the mix with characteristic venom. Packaged in a classic CD format, it's a durable and collectible way to own a key chapter in The Exploited's discography, suitable both for long-time fans and for listeners looking to dive deeper into harder, more extreme punk sounds.

It is certainly one of the band's best albums, and may even be their heaviest.

If in aesthetics it is punk, then in music it is pure metal. Moreover, these punks play a much tougher form of metal than the individual members of the genre, who have been in it for much longer. This year the record is 25 years old, and it is more and more relevant over the years.
