"Go" by the jazz saxophonist Dexter Gordon was recorded in 1962; it was his third LP for the Blue Note label. This album has received positive reviews from critics and jazz fans alike - it is hailed by some as one of the greatest jazz records ever. "Go" kicks off with a Gordon original called "Cheese Cake", a tune that soon became a stalwart of Gordon's live performances. The whole album has a relaxed after midnight atmosphere. Though Gordon would go on to release three more superb albums for Blue note, it is the album made on august 27, 1962 that stands tallest in the Gordon's catalogue. This is a must have cd.
