Augusto D. - 14/Mar/2026 5 of 5 Stars!
The debut album by Deep Purple. A very underrated record that starts with the fierce spine of Paice, Lord and Blackmore, add superb bass playing by Simper, and cool vocals by Evans. Although the stronger tracks are the instrumentals like Mandrake Root (a concert staple for our virtuosos exertions), there are the Hush, Help and Hey Joe covers with a definite Purple flavour. Any Purple fan must dismiss the critics and get this album
