Azmi H. - 20/Sep/2022 There is something about this album that lends itself to compulsive repeat listening. The performances are raw and energetic and the song arrangements remain unconventional while never seeming to drag on meaninglessly. One element to any album that can't be generated artificially is atmosphere which is something Dusk and Her Embrace has in abundance.

Vladislav M. - 25/Dec/2020 Historically important album in the history of Cradle of Filth. Dark, mysterious, mystical collection of stories of death and love. Great release, one of the best from this band.

Vesa H. - 17/Sep/2019 OMG, I recall the day this was released over 20 years ago, mind blowing gothic black metal, definately their best amongst Principle the debut album. Huge booklet with exceptional graphics COF -style. For new extreme metal fans, a must album

Vagner C. - 20/Apr/2019 Cradle of Filth played something as gothic black metal, but in spite of my own efforts to enjoy their sound, I failed. This is their second album, I guess, possibly among the most acclaimed by the band's fans. Not fot my taste.

Paulos K. - 14/Jun/2020 COF managed to combine the majestic atmosphere with very fast rythm section and screamy vocals.Back then no one could compare with them and this album is the proof!
