Description:"Rites Of The Black Mass" is the groundbreaking debut album by Acheron, released in 1992 and now available on CD from Vic Records. This classic release stands as a pillar of early American death/black metal, featuring dark atmospheres, occult themes, and relentless riffs that have influenced countless bands since its inception. The album?s sinister soundscapes are enhanced by ritualistic interludes and powerful vocals that immerse listeners into the world of esoteric darkness. Acheron was formed in 1988 by Vincent Crowley and quickly became notorious for their uncompromising approach to extreme metal and their open embrace of Satanic imagery. Over the years, they have built a cult following with albums such as "Lex Talionis" and "Anti-God, Anti-Christ," solidifying their place among underground legends. Vic Records is renowned for reissuing essential classics from the death and black metal genres with high-quality remasters and detailed liner notes?making this edition an indispensable addition to any serious collection.

Vladislav M. - 14/Dec/2019 5 of 5 Stars!
Re-release of the cult release of american blasphemers! The group always went their own way, which earned the respect of the audience. Probably, against the background of other iconic releases of the Florida School, this album is less expressive, but in itself very cool.
